Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club Review

I played this course as a single December 28 while visiting relatives in Southern California. I had searched the internet for a reasonably priced course without fairways lined with homes. Their website attracted me because all holes where pictured and it appeared to be attractive. I am from Western PA and wanted to be able to experience the natural environment. What a treat! Course was in good shape. Friendly employees and nice facilities.
The course wound through a canyon. No development….all natural. Great views of the mountains. The course was lined with signs warning of rattlesnakes and mountain lions should you stray too far off the course looking for a lost ball!! My partner, luckily a local guy, pointed out that in December the rattlesnakes are hibernating and the mountain lions are rarely seen and are only dangerous if provoked. $92.00 was their “holiday rate” since it was between Christmas and New Year’s. Usually 80 something. Good value either way. Interesting holes. The price of your first beer in the bar is your golf score. Mine cost 92 cents. Will play again on my next trip to see the family.
